Argentine airline Aerolíneas Argentinas launched a new direct route between Buenos Aires and Aruba on Sunday evening, expanding its network in the Caribbean, one of the most sought-after destinations for the summer season. The inaugural flight departed from Ezeiza International Airport on Sunday night and arrived on the island early Monday. All flights are operated with Boeing 737-MAX aircraft, state-of-the-art planes that offer greater efficiency, lower fuel consumption, and a more comfortable travel experience. Aruba is consolidating itself as one of the most attractive destinations in the Caribbean thanks to its privileged year-round climate, international recognition for hosting the best beach in the Caribbean, diverse and multicultural gastronomy, and a shopping proposal with some of the best prices in the region. Furthermore, entry to the destination is simple: Argentine travelers only need a valid passport, to complete the ED Card (digital boarding card), and to present a confirmed return ticket and accommodation, with no need for a visa for tourist stays. Due to the strong demand recorded since the initial announcement, the company confirmed the extension of the operation until the end of September. During the high summer season, the island will receive three weekly flights from Buenos Aires, one from Córdoba, and one from Mendoza. The planned schedule from May includes four weekly frequencies from Buenos Aires to Aruba (adding one frequency), operating on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and one weekly frequency from Córdoba on Thursdays. Last Saturday, the departure of the first operation to Queen Beatrix Airport in Oranjestad had to be suspended due to operational limitations linked to the conflict in Venezuela, which affected commercial flights for all airlines operating in the region.
